New sensor components from Sparkfun
Just got these and still testing…
This is a big step forward: SparkFun Indoor Air Quality Combo Sensor – SCD41, SEN55 (Qwiic) It combines all the sensors I want — CO2, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), particulate matter (PM), temperature, and humidity — on a single board, one Qwiic socket, and no need for external power. This was an annoying part of the PM sensors I was using before, you have to make both a Qwiic connection and a +5V DC power supply for the fan. OTOH, this is big so I have to toss my earlier case design sketches and start over.
SparkFun Qwiic Dual Solid State Relay This is something I’ve wanted for awhile now, Qwiic control of AC power so I can turn a COTS HEPA filter on and off. I need to do some long-term testing with this, I’m not sure if I need a $60 relay I can control with Qwiic.
