Geodesic domes are one of those great ideas that just don’t match with the rest of the world. All of our houses have been square so all our furniture is square and making a dome house livable is a bit of a challenge.
Camping in the desert, on the other hand…
There was a lot of manual labor involved in making this dome and I did a lot of planning up front just to see if it was possible. Domes are pretty easy to build if you’re just going to cover them with cloth, but translucent acrylic windows?
